Dr. Tom Jefford
Interim Chair; Safeguarding
Tom is a Director of Family Psychology Mutual. Tom is completing a professional doctorate in implementation science at Anglia Ruskin University. He previously was a Head of Service at Cambridgeshire County Council with responsibility for youth offending, alternative education, drug and alcohol commissioning, young carers and youth services.
Tom is also a Director of The Edge Café. Tom has a long interest in evidence based interventions and established the first English MST Team. He is a board member of the European Implementation Collaborative and also of CSSL which delivers the social impact bond in Essex. He is currently a Fellow of the Go-Lab at Oxford.

Annette Boaz Ph.D
Trustee
Annette Boaz is a social scientist and Professor of Health and Social Care Policy, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. Her research focuses on the relationship between research evidence, policy and practice, implementation, improvement and service user engagement.
She supports a number of initiatives aimed at increasing capacity for research use and co-leads with Kathryn Oliver, Transforming Evidence, an initiative designed to support learning on the use of research evidence across policy domains, different countries and contexts.

Claire Burns
Trustee
After a long career spent in children and families social work practice, Claire now plays an important leadership role within the CELCIS Directorate. CELCIS is a leading improvement and innovation Centre in Scotland for children in need of care and protection and their families. Claire's principle focus is to make sure that we really know and understand what works best when it comes to supporting looked after and vulnerable children, their families and care leavers. Claire is a champion for this knowledge to be included in legislation, policy and guidance and implemented in support services and a strong advocate of building implementation capacity in Children’s services.
She was part of the first cohort to complete the Post Graduate in Implementation Science at Trinity College Dublin and was part of the group who supported GIC 2019 in Scotland.

Andrew Levitt
Trustee
Andrew is co-Founder of Bridges Outcomes Partnerships and Head of Data and Analytics. He is a Director of Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership, GM Homes Partnership, Homelessness Support, the Single Homeless Prevention Service and is a Trustee of West London Zone.
Prior to Bridges, Andrew was Managing Director of a social enterprise “Baobab” in Madagascar, and a non-exec board member of two other financial inclusion social enterprises, in Senegal and China.

Dr Alex Ziemann
Hon. Board Member - liaison European Implementation Collaborative
Alex is a Lecturer in Public Health at the University of Bath.
Alex is a Board Member of the European Implementation Collaborative (EIC) and joined the UK Implementation Society Board as an Honorary Member to facilitate a closer exchange and collaboration between UK-IS and the EIC.

Lisa looks after membership, events and the website, and is the person to contact in the first instance with any queries about the Society or about how to join us.
